Where it all began

In July 2017, we ventured on a campervan trip. It was THE worst possible weather anyone could imagine. The bottom to the middle of the North Island was covered in snow, which was exactly where we were travelling.

Despite this, we had the best time with our kids and it inspired us to build a tiny house caravan of our own. Mainly because of cost - we are a family of 5 and the cost of a 5 berth caravan/camper was definitely outside of our budget. Also, the husband is pretty handy and we had a bit of an obsession with George Clark's Amazing Spaces! So, after a lot of blood, sweat and tears (the blood and sweat largely from the husband) Arohanui was finished and we had our first family trip with her at Simpson's Beach over new year 2018/2019. We are looking forward to many more adventures!
